Perched up the hill above the majestic Uig Bay, just a mile from the ferry terminal, The Uig Hotel is an ideal overnight stop when catching the ferry to the Western Isles. The hotel was taken over by Billy and Anne in 2013 and up to three hand pumps are supplied from Isle of Skye Brewery, just down the road in Uig. Bar meals are available from noon to 6pm, offering a selection of sandwiches, soup, burger and pasta dishes alongside more substantial starters, mains and desserts. Then the main restaurant is open from 6pm which offers fantastic views over Uig Bay and Loch Snizort. There is a daily Taste of Skye menu using seasonal locally sourced ingredients and may include fresh Skye beer battered catch of the day and chips, seafood platters with squat lobster, langoustine and mussels, Skye venison and local lamb.
