The 400-year-old former manse (Minister's residence) is a popular, friendly village inn near Loch Ness, catering for locals and visitors. The sweet chestnut outside was once a hanging tree. Seven handpumps dispense guest ales from Scottish and UK breweries, all in rotation plus an eighth, real cider. Lunches, evening meals and Sunday roasts are available. Entertainment includes occasional quiz nights and traditional music. Home of the famous Loch Ness Beer Festival in September and is the 2013 local CAMRA Pub of the Year. Handy for all the local attractions including Urquhart Castle, and the two Loch Ness Monster exhibitions.
