Highlands and Western Isles CAMRA

Campaign for Real Ale

LocAle

CAMRA LocAle

CAMRA LocAle is a campaign that promotes local beer in local pubs and so it’s good for the drinker, the pub and the brewers. In the Highlands & Western Isles Branch we define LocAle as beer brewed within 30 miles of where it is sold. However some of our more remote pubs may not have a brewery this close, and so we may have to extend the radius a little in some areas.

Highlands & Western Isles CAMRA offers LocAle accreditation to pubs who commit to selling, at all times, at least one beer brewed within 30 miles of the pub. We provide leaflets, posters, pump toppers, window stickers and beer mats to help drinkers spot a LocAle pub and give the pubs publicity both here on the website and in our quarterly newsletter What’s Yours Then?
