The Chlachain (means stone house in Gaelic) Inn was built around 1900 and was extensively refurbished in 2004, and again in 2013. The single bar is open plan with different areas to satisfy all. Cosy chairs by the open fire, booth seating and tables and chairs - you can also sit at the bar, or prop it up! Currently Orkney / Atlas ales feature on the three hand pumps with the occasional showing from Isle of Skye and Hebridean. An excellent selection of freshly prepared food is available every day A sign shows "We welcome children, well behaved dogs, muddy boots and backpacks." There is plenty to do locally.
