The Polochar Inn dates back to 1790 and was once a change-house: a place to wait for the ferry between South Uist and Eoligarry on Barra. No hand pump, bottled real ale (RAIB) may be available. [Update 16th Sept 2022: Sunday hours 12.30pm till 11pm, but later if there are drinkers in the bar. Report of no real ale available, but kegged Caledonian Coast-to-Coast and bottled Isle of Skye Red and Gold.]
