Other than being an impressive Victorian country house built in 1905 which is now a 3 star hotel, Ledgownan Lodge today offers an excellent base for touring the area and walking the rugged hills which are right on your doorstep. Accommodation to suit nearly all preferences from 3* hotel to 5 room bunkhouse. Camping and caravans facilities are also available. The dining facilities can be used by all. Although in a remote part of the Highlands, there is a railway station 850m away so you could arrive and explore the area by rail. The line continues onto Kyle of Lochalsh and features as one of the great railway journeys of the World because of the stunning scenery. You are almost certain to see deer and all the wildlife normally associated with the Highlands from the Hotel itself! The cosy bar and deep chesterfields make it feel more like a London club. In addition to main mealtimes, coffee, tea and snacks are available all day.
