Set amid the magnificent Torridon mountains, the approach from Achnasheen offers one of the best views in the Highlands, and the area is popular with visitors of all interests. Once an 18th century coaching inn, David has six handpumps with a tempting selection of local and regional beers including a real cider. Kinlochewe has always taken great pride in his tasty and simply prepared locally sourced fish, meat and game. Accommodation available in the Hotel, or 12 bed bunkhouse, however book well in advance because it is a very popular stop on the North Coast 500. Be sure not to miss the wonderful wildlife photographs around the bar and the interesting table tops made from three rather large trees. Branch Pub of the Year for 2017. Note "Winter" opening times from November to March (Easter) From 2021 the beer range has been reduced (only 2 handpumps) and the bar is open for diners only. Update: A report in July 2021 states that beer range is down to one real ale, the bar being focused on food, and closing time is likely to be earlier.
